Sterra Breeze Air Purifier removes dander, not the fur. Dander in fur causes allergies. Even though fur are still there, they become “harmless” because dander is not on the fur. This is why you don't need to vacuum the fur. The very fine pet fur that can squeeze through the air inlet of the air purifier are removed along with the dander but the air purifier doesn't physically remove majority of the fur, only dander.
